The history Namak Abroud
Located 12 kms from East Chalus is new Namak Abroud township covering some 650 hectar area, with the Caspian sea on its north and Madoban (the Alborz) on its south. Aproximately 200 hektar violet and box-tree parks made the area very spectaculary. Moreover, Madoban- the denseforest created a remarkably attractive landscape.
The original plan was designed by consulting engineer; Mr. Dazz, Mr.Charkhab, Mr.Hovard Homfari. Hovard Homfari’s report said that Chalous- Ramsar Road bisected the area- with the northern side of the road dedicated to building villas, and Hite hotel and Marina’s suggested part and the related facility and apartment complex on its southern side.

The township was founded with two purposes:

To build residential center- a refreshment center for people living out of Chalous and Nowshahr.
To absorb the population overflowing into Chalous and Nowshahr.
According to the purpose above, foundation of Namak Abroud Township was approved in the parliament, and it was announced by the secretary of housing and urbanization in 1994. The foundation warranty was issued in 1994 based on the aproaval matching the documents. It is shown in illustration 1-1.
From the point of predicted population for the township, the consultant engineers estimated the total number of residential units(villas, apartments), hotels, and motels 2000, while the number was predicted to be 23350 in Hamfari’s report. In the new plan observed by the project consulting engineers, the population is estimated 50000 namely twice as the previous numbers. In Havafard Hamfari’s plan, most of the holiday homes we assumed soothe annial population number was considered variable.
In 1986, a development plan was provided for part of Namak Abroud territory. The plan was designed on main road construction network including a main street, and linked branches. The main street leads to residential blocks. This ring is located in the south east corner. To satisfy the needs on the area scale, considering the visiter overflows, a north-south Bolv. With 53 hectar width has been designed. The bolvard serves the 5 residential areas in the township locating on tow western and eastern lines, on both sides of the centeral area.
The residential areas i.e the 5 areas above cover a 230 hectar area. The 4th residential area is next to the 1st area. The 5th area is located on the south east corner, way on the south of the township. Each of the areas has a centeral located so that there are lanes to the center of the township. On the far south of city service center and on both sides of the line, on the far south of the township are two areas adjacent to the 4th and 5th areas as tour residential areas( next to the 4th and 5th areas) and there is one more as the 6th area(with 900 people per hectar) with 4-8 floor residential blocks. In the far north part of the township, by the side of areas 1, and 2. An almost 95 hectar btoad area is designed as the recreation, and sports center on the north west, and are a hotel and tour complementaries.
